I just realized that I had an ultrasound and didn't mention anything about it here because we went on vacation the next day!!!

I really should get some of them scanned. It's priceless one of the faces- the tech was trying to get Baby to move around and unclench the fists and all, well, after one particularly rough squish, baby made this VERY sad face. It was honestly a frown, like "Why do you keep poking me? It makes me so sad." It was one that was captured with a 3D pic even.

Sooooooo, once the legs were unfurled we decided......

.... to name HER Bridgette :
Deep down I knew she was a girl, but as soon as I saw her face on the u/s screen I though "This is most definately a girl, her face is just so sweet." With Titus, he looked very Boy even at a very early u/s.

So, they want me to come in again for another u/s because they couldn't see her fingertips. Not sure if I want to actually do that. Titus was scanned too much and if I can help it, I'd like none of that for her. Her face was perfectly intact, no cleft which is what we were really worried about. Everything else is perfect. Despite what the PA said two weeks earlier about measuring "small" according to fundal height, by the u/s measurments, she's a couple weeks ahead. (They make this stuff up as they go, I just know it.)

I'm warming up to the idea of a girl, especially since my mom already had clothes for her, brand new, from a garage sale. My dad gave me the dress he made for me and they took me home from the hospital. It's a christening gown in red and floral stripes. He even taught himself how to smock it! It's such a precious thing!

Congratulations on your little girl! Glad that they could rule out a cleft palate.

And what a wonderful gift from your dad... what an heirloom.

I'm still sorting out the TWO WEEKS worth of vacation photos. DH had the camera glued to his face the whole time. I'm determined to have a "set" of photos scrapbooked from some point in Titus's life before the new baby arrives. There has to be around 1000 to sort through and print...... AFTER that, I'll get the u/s scanned.

Surprisingly, the dress didn't come up in any of the hundreds of pictures we took. It really is a neat dress, vintage enough to be unique, but still cute and trendy. My dad won blue ribbons on it at the state fair!
