For those who have been following this story...for those who petitioned with me and thousands of others to plea to Judge Cardwell.....thank you. May the appeal be short and sweet and with the same outcome and may the children be adopted into a family who will love them and care for them, help them heal and support them to become all that they want to be.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...n/3735994.html

(happy and bittersweet tears)
Anyone else catch the irony here?

"Sharen Gravelle testified that she met her husband in 1986 at a potluck dinner for a child sex abuse support group. She said her biological daughter had been molested by a previous husband, and Michael Gravelle was there because he was accused by his biological daughter of inappropriate touching. Michael Gravelle denies the accusation."

I am so happy to hear that they will be able to find good homes now.

Dh worked at a special needs school and in his class there was a little girl who was severely abused (along with her brother, I believe it was). They were found in a dog crate, with a bowl of water and no food. The "parents" locked them in there while they went on an almost week long bender. I don't even want to go into what else these kids had been through, it's just too awful. And the school said they also aren't sure what all damage was done by all the drugs the mother took while pregnant. Sadly, they had to be put in a group home setting (I think?) because they couldn't find a foster home that could take them (even the ones that have special training) because no one felt they could handle them. They already believe that the little girl has sociopathic signs (though how can they tell at that young?). Dh told me all of this once and refused to talk about it again. It just pains him too much.

I just don't understand what makes people do these thing. I just don't. :

Would like to remind that although no one will argue that their actions are beyond horrifying and completely deplorable, we still do not permit name calling.
