first of all i would like to thank everyone for there help with my CD dilema, and starting out! i just went ahead and took advantage of the CD co-op. this is what i ordered for starting out... 2 dozen premium infant unbleached CPF, one wool soaker small, 7 doublers, and one dozen one size fitteds. i'm going to get ~6 prorap wraps (which i found on one of the site you guys recommended, for a good price).

should i get some pull on covers?? is that neccessary?? can't i just use the proraps for the CPF and fitted (which i will probably not use immediatly anyways, just got them now because of the great price)? i don't want to get too much because DS was 10lbs 14oz and 15lbs within a couple weeks. what else am i missing?? i'll pick up liners, pins, wet bags, and pail along the way. i'm making my own liners and wipes out of natural flannel.

Your stash sounds just like the one we had for my son when he was born two years ago, except that we had Bummis rather than Proraps, and no doublers. It turned out for us that the one-size fitteds (we had Mother-Ease) were too big until he got to be about 2 months/14 pounds, so we ended up buying another dozen infant premium prefolds since we were going through so many diapers those first two months (as many as 15 a day sometimes).

You should be fine with what you have. You might have to wash everyday until the baby fits into the fitteds, but it really will pass by faster than it seems.

sounds great to me! I wouldnt get any more pull up covers. And if you have not already bought all the proraps, I may just suggest getting half prowraps and half bummis, but thats just because I like Bummis wayyyy better.

My son was born at 8lbs 13oz, but he was very long (22 1/2 in), so he's always been on the thin side - the MEOS would have probably fit a shorter baby of the same weight earlier on. We couldn't handle doing laundry every day, which is why we got the extra dozen prefolds. We still used them, trifolded in covers up through the second year. If you don't mind doing laundry more often, you may not need more prefolds.

Your stash is similar to ours and we really liked it. I would maybe suggest a few more covers or breaking up the proraps for a few diffrent ones. We ended up really not liking the proraps you might find they don't fit your babies body well.
