OK, I got these prefolds in the mail. I think they are Indian Unbleached PF's and they fit Braedon big, but they fold over nicely and will fit him for awhile and I really like them! I am going on vacation in like 3 weeks and I want to buy more for the vacation. I have NO idea if they are Regular or Premium though!

When I measure them with my measuring shoe string (lol), I get like 16x11 and this is already fluffed! Those sound like Infant when I look at the dimensions for Infant PF's BUT I have Infant already fluffed PF's and they are def not the same size plus the Infant are too small for him as of like last week! ACK! Are the dimensions Im seeing before fluffed up, or after??? And if so, what do these sound like to you?

Regular? or Premium?

That is an infant size. Infants are 16X12 unwashed. Prem is 14.4X22. Big difference.

I dont think it is infant b/c I already have some that are supposed to be infant! If the NEW ones are infant, that would mean the smaller ones were preemie and there is no way Braedon could fit into a preemie till nearly 10 months, LOL! These are already fluffed, I already washed them!

Maybe a ruler or tape measure would work better? I am pretty sure indian & CPF measure the same. Were your old ones gerbers, by chance? They are smaller.

Where did you get them? My premium 4x8x4 unbleached ipf's from Granitesmith on ebay are 17" x 12 1/2" washed and fluffed. Sounds like you have the premium sized ones too. They are a bit smalled all around than cpf's but definitely bigger than a washed and fluffed infant cpf or ipf. Does that help? I would say go with the 4x8x4 unbleached ipfs ... they'll be roughly the same size.

I got my first ones used, infant, they are CPF's! I got them from a lady on another board. If I put these up to my Infant ones they seem to be like 2 inches bigger on both sides! What is the 4x8x4 measurement??? Its obviously not inches so how would I measure that way! Now if I were to get CPF's rather than these IPF's, should I get regular??? I just wanna make sure they fit him nicely! I can fold over these ones pretty well, anymore and Im not sure they would work, but I like how they fit regardless, I dont wanna go any smaller nor bigger...I like how he has growth in them!

I hope I can figure this out, LOL!

Okay, I compared one of ds's infant cpf's to my indian pf - the infant cpf is 2 1/2 " narrow-er and about 3 1/2" shorter. But, my indian pf is about 1" all around smaller than premium sized cpf's. Is the serging on the mystery prefold white and/or natural colored? I think it's a premium sized Indian prefold. 4x8x4 means how many layers are in the prefold - 4 down the two outside panels and 8 down the center. My indian prefolds fit ds really well - I fold them down about 1 1/2" in the front and get a great fit. His measurements, for comparrison sakes, are: 16" rise, 18 1/2" waist, 9 1/2" thigh. Does that resemble your ds's measurements? If so, then the link I gave above to the dipes at Granitesmith would fit very well. Let me know what you think ...

I think the premium sound about right! Braedon has a skinnier waist! His rise in a dipe is like 14-16" approx. His thighs are 9" and his waist is 14"! So they do sound around the same size. I fold down his Indian like 2 inches maybe! So premium sounds right!

The Indian is unbleached (are all Indians UB, I have no idea, lol) so the thread is natural!

I think they are all unbleached ... although those are the only one's I've ever bought (from Granitesmith) so I have no clue! :LOL I'm glad we figured it out. Happy shopping!
