Specifically to Paypal.......

Tonight I had a customer check out with no shipping address from one email their paypal acct is registered with.

Then I got an email from them at another addy asking me to send it to their TX addy instead of their WA addy but left me no address

I want to be cautious but not over-react if ykwim? It just makes me leary that they didn't enter their shipping information in either contact

Is their something that should be a red flag here? What should I look out for? I don't have a Business or Premier account and it says this transaction won't be covered so I'm covering myself by not shipping without an addy.

I refunded the monies and requested they resend with an address entered. I also just straight emailed to their paypal registered address just to be safe.

Did I over-react? Please be honest need some help I'm new at this WAHM thing :LOL

Maybe its time to upgrade to cover my bootie
:

Thanks for listening!

What was the price tag of the purchase? Generally, the frauds are played on higher $tag items. Biz. Premeir accounts don't add any extra protection as far as keeping frauds out. In fact your risk is increased b/c you would be accepting CC.

But refunding the monies and asking for a straight address is a safe move.

I have had similar things happen before. Once was when for some strange reason paypal wasn't asking for an address. Another time they just forgot to put it in. Without an address you can't ship it, IMO it was probably an oversight on their part, especially if they're new.
I say if you feel uncomfortable with the transaction than you should trust your instinct!

Good luck!
Thanks Mamas. It looks like it was an oversight on their part not. They wanted to send it as a gift. The dollar amt isn't very high but I still want to be aware when the transaction isn't exactly clear

You do know that if you don't shipped to a confirmed paypal address and they do a chargeback you lose even if you have delivery confirmation that shows delivery.

I guess so. I can't have a confirmed address, because I'm overseas. I had a confirmed address when I lived in the US, but now I can't have one. Lame.
