It seems like I'm always waiting for something to happen that will magically cause me to lose this weight, but it never happens. So finally, I have started walking again. We have a circular driveway in our farm yard, rather small, but enough for me to have a walking track without getting to far away from the house when the kids are sleeping and I can still hear the monitor. Since wednesday last, I've walked three times, 40 the first time, 33 the second and 50 tonight. (I'm thinking about 30 - 40 laps for 1 mile, I need to find this out) I've even ran (well jogged) some of those laps. I'd like to use this post as my accountabliliy so that I don't slack off. I really want to lose this 12 pounds badly. It just wont go away and I hate the feeling of my jeans on my waist. Man I would feel so good at 125, even tho at 5' 3.5" I will still be near the top of my weight for being healthy. But so much better than I am now. So here I go!!!!

(Now I just have to get the chocolate out of the house!!!) (And not by eating it up either!)

Ok, still walking although lately I've been falling asleep with the kids so I sleep thru my evening walk time. That sucks and makes me feel rather sluggish when I wake up. My big problem now is eating. Man I just cant stop eating. Anything looks good to me. I just feel like eating even though I should NOT want to eat. That has made it really difficult to feel good about toing this. Tonight I've done better and havent eaten since supper (except a handful of strawberrys). I just need to get past the eating thing.

ME too!! I can excercise (well, FORCE myself to... I don't partiuculaly enjoy it) but it's the eating that gets me. I don't have a whole lot of weight to loose. I mostly want to tone up (I'm a mushy thin and my clothes don't fit right and I get out of breath going up one flight of stairs). But I love eating! Food is my downfall. I don't know how to change that.

Anyways, I think it's great that you're taking charge of your health! And how cool to have a little track right in front of your house!

Still going well. I drove around the circle and figure it takes about 25 laps to make a mile. Yesterday I did 60 laps so about 2.5 miles! And I keep the eating down too. Scale was 136.2 today, almost 2 pounds in the last week or so. My goal is 125 (or really 124.9 just to be sure). Today we were gone so I havent walked yet but did some shopping. Lunch was not so good (mcd's salad and some of the kids fries). Hopefully I can get some laps in tonight. It really helps to recap here and see that I've accomplished something.

Well yesterday I olny got in about 18 laps or so. We were gone, then last night when I could have been walking, I was driving to the doctor for a uti. Didn't hurt but man, I couldn't stop peeing! It was constant and its hard to walk when you have to pee. But on the good side I wasnt hungry either and todays scale was 135.4. Its nice to see some progress. At mil's today, I didn't have any cookies or icecream the kids had. If I don't start then I dont have trouble quiting. Once it is in my mouth, I just want more and more. I'm feeling better today so hope to get some walking in when the wind goes down.

Got in almost 2.5 miles today and eating was ok. It is nice to be in the swing of it and almost addicted to doing things to encourage weight loss. I eat what we have but not every last bite and no seconds on high calorie things. I cant wait to get on the scale every day and see if there has been progress made or at least keep it the same. I almost relish feeling the hunger at night when I usually would have gone into the kitchen and hunted down calories that I didn't really need.

Thanks ladies!
Today was a little set back. The evil scale went the wrong way and was a little discouraging. I did some walking today anyway but only 17 laps, less than a mile. But last night I did 2.5 miles or 61 laps! I really dont like excercising. Walking is ok, but I'm just lazy and would rather sit and read a book. I need to get some music outside to listen to. I'm still committed though and really want to see more progress. I seem to have broken some of the hold food had on me. I hope I can keep up this desire to lose the weight.

So the next night I fell asleep, then had plans on thrus and now its raining. And I'm up on the scale too. Oh and I have AF visiting. All in all not the best week here. Hope I can get back on track, literally. I do still feel like I will have the momentum to do this. I just have to be able to time and weather wise....

Well walking in the rain may sound fun, we have all gravel/dirt roads around us and it would be a mucky muddy mess and slippery too so not appealing to me at all. However, I'm finding I really have missed walking over the last several days. I managed to get 16 laps in today now that the rain is gone and the road is dry. Unfortunatly for me my sil gave us some huge choc bars from her trip to chicago and well.... they are gone. Not all because of me but definately a set back scale wise. But, I'm not going to let a slip set me back. I'm still in this.

Well, I have not been walking as much as I would like, but I really seem to have the eating somewhat undercontrol. Between that, some walking, just being outside and a cold, the scale it in a good place. Ive lost almost 5 pounds and the roll above my pants is much smaller a very good thing!! I have almost complete cut out eating after supper. I do feel hungry in the evenings, but I just dont give in to it. I think that has been one of the biggest things that I have done. I got a bike trailer for the 2 little ones, so hopefully we can all go on bike rides now for exercise too.
