I want to CD soooo badly.....BUT I am SOOOOOO confused. I looked into all this when ds was 5-6 months got so overwhelmed, I changed my mind. Now he is 1 yo and I am here again.

This is my desire:
$$$ is NOT an issue
I want it to be easy for me
DEFINITELY easy for my DH
comfy, dry, perfect for ds-who is long and skinny(21#, 32 in)

I am SCARED:
to spend $$ on something and have it not work
that my expectations for perfection are too high!!!!
of stink

I have read reviews, and everyone loves *something*. I don't feel like there is *one clear winner*!! Whether it is the type of dipe or the brand.......

I *THINK* I like the idea of AIOs or Pockets, but then I read about you all loving *this fitted or prefold*........Oh and wool covers are so freakin' cute!

PLease help me DO THIS!!!!! I am not running away again.

Perfect situation, I could buy a *kit*....something that lets us try different types of dipes and brands.

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
: TIA!!!!!! x million

You are definitely right. It can be totally confusing!!! And, you are right that everyone loves something different! LOL

To be perfectly honest with you, it didn't all make sense to me until after I started doing it. No matter how much I researched and read, etc. etc. it didn't all really CLICK for me until I started doing it!! So, hopefully it'll get better for you once you try!

If you are looking for something that is husband/grandma friendly, I would suggest pockets or AIOs.

I've yet to find an AIO I really like, so we stick with mostly pockets. We've also done a lot of prefolds, fitteds, covers and wool---but in the end, I find that i love my pockets, and switched back to mostly those.

If you don't know what kind of pocket diaper you want to try, you can get a pocket sampler at www.nickisdiapers.com . It has some of the most common ones, so you can see what you like for yourself. Personally I like fuzzi bunz, but because of the price hike, probably won't be buying any more of those. I also really like Happy Heinys...but my new favorite is DryBees!!

My son is tall and skinny as well (19 lbs at 18 months), and we've had great luck with most medium sized diapers. He is still on the tightest setting, so I think he'll be wearing these until he potty trains.

Also, if you get a bunch of diapers and you DON'T like them, you can always re-sell them here or at www.diaperswappers.com!

Good luck mama!

Trial packs are the way to go! This way you can figure out what system will work best for you without investing tons in a system that is not going to work. Different diapers fit different shapes of babies, so while some dipes may work awesome for one person, they may not work as great for the next.
