Okay, so here are the names we have selected for baby. Help us whittle...

Isis
Isla
Audrey
Gigi
Esther
Beatrice

Name combos would be:

Isla Isis
Isla Esther
Isla Audrey
Gigi Ann
Isis Mary
Audrey Beatrice

AHHHH!!!!! Name combos are hard. My son, we call just Ronan, but we'll use the first name as the primary name for the new baby... And all the names go okay with our last name, that unfortunately rhymes with "onion". Anyway, thanks for you opinions!

And, my bad, I accidentally got Gigi up there twice, it should be just the first three! Thanks!

Isla is on my girls name list too, which is kind of funny cause our DS's have the same name (Ronan).

I love Isla. It was on our middle name list for a girl. You could also do another spelling like Ayla.
Gigi is waaay to cutesy. Its also what we call my grandmother.
Audrey and Beatrice are beautiful!
Esther sounds old to me.
And Isis rubs me the wrong way. It makes me think of a stripper name.
Would you consider Iris instead? It has a very pretty connotation and is similar to Isis.

How is Ilsa pronounced? I know someone named Else and it's pronounced El-sah. I also know someone named Elke and it's pronounced Elk-ah.

Apparently, it is said Eye-la. If you are Spanish speaking the name is said Is- la.

I have huge issues with folks who give their kids a hard name to say on purpose. Both my kids names are easy to say, easy to spell and are pronounced the way they are written. No one, hearing or seeing my kid's names goes "wth?" to themselves.

Thanks guys!

Isla is my favorite name. I like Isla Audrey. Esther is my Great-aunt's name and my Grandmother's twin, so we like the family thing... but my Grandmother AND my Mother are Ruth and my mother has forbidden me from using it!!! My husband wants Isis. Especially if she's born on the 5th of May! (Bob Dylan song - my DH is obsessed with the fact that she could have her own song!). Audrey has always been my long time favorite girls name but the recent popularity of it has sort of made me reconsider it for a middle instead, but I still love the sound of it, the old feel. I like Isla for its Celtic origins as we named our son Ronan (which is Celtic). So... sigh. It is such a toss up! I love Beatrice too, but my husband isn't crazy about it..

Don't you hate compromise!? I am going to read y'all's comments to my DH and we'll hash it out!

I agree that Isla runs a risk of mispronunciation a lot and misspelling, but I'm Catherine and I can't even tell you have a name THAT old and common gets butchered. Yikes! So... I don't know...This is hard. John Ronan seemed easy!
