I have posted before that I have been having all kinds of trouble getting DD (20m) to sleep.

So here's what we've been doing:
Up at 7:30 (She used to sleep until about 9:00 or so.)
Nap from 11:30-1:00 or so
Bed at 8:00. (This part is HEAVENLY)

For bed time, we read a couple of books, and then nurse. At this point (at least for the last two days) she gets upset when it is time to be done with books. She wants to keep reading and reading. So she cries for maybe fifteen or twenty seconds. I hate making her cry, but she doesn't cry for very long, and the whole time I am with her and I tell her that I am there for her and that she is going to be okay.

Then I rock her in the rocking chair and sing to her for 15 minutes and she's out cold.

I am really happy with the whole thing, but I hate the crying part. Am I being silly?

I don't think you're being silly, but I don't think it's necessarily bad for her to cry for that little in your arms with you acknowledging her feelings and showing your love for her.

I also would bet that the crying diminishes over time, as she gets used to the new routine.

Good luck!
