wah. I hate feeling fat. It's not so bad once the belly is noticeable but it seems like everything is squished up and back and I'm just fat not pregnant.

A belly band sounds like a good idea but I can't fit into my size 4 or 6 or even 8 pants (forget the shorts) so it doesn't even matter.

whine and double wah.

I'll see that and raise it. Your further along then I am and I just dug out my maternity shorts. Although you are lucky to be a good deal smaller then I am. Wearing the sizes I do people are going to assume I'm just fat until I'm 6 months or so! Even more disturbing was realizing that the friend we had planned to let borrow our swing and is 3-4 months along probably isn't showing yet. This is her first and she has always been in great shape. I think I might avoid her for the next several months

I got some new underwear at Motherhood. I still fit into my clothes, but these underwear are great. They're not any bigger than normal (the butt is probably a bit more full coverage), just lower in the front and super comfortable. I am sure that I will continue to wear them afterwards and I am wearing them now even though I totally don't need to yet. I recommend them highly; they're the cotton bikini ones.

I didn't think about that... hope I didn't make any, shall we say more vulumptuous mamas, feel bad. It's jus the "turbo" bloated feeling I can't stand. I know I'll be at least a size 14 again when this is all over. And I'm okay with that because I know I've got a whole box of clothes for me to wear once I get there
I called dh this morning and told him even his gym shorts were squeezing my belly too much. He was sympathetic and told me to go get some maternity ones. I've been too sick to go, even when he offered to watch the kids while I went!

I pulled out my tub of maternity clothes this morning (which had a really strange smell when I took off the lid) and grabbed a pair of capris. My other clothes still fit, but any slight pressure from the waistband makes me too queasy.

Aww hon if you'd offended me I'd have let ya know. I've been looking at maternity clothes and I'm irritated with the entire clothing situation. I don't like under belly clothes as they fall off which bugs me even when I'm not pg. So far the only place I can find that sells much that isn't under belly stuff is motherhood and I don't wanna shop there waaaaa!!! Can you hear me whining all the way up there?

My pants are still fitting since most of them were too big when I got pregnant.. the shirts are another issue... my boobs have gone from a 32D to a 34/36DD depending on the bra and I have a little baby bump going on so a ton of my shirts just aren't working!!!! At least the longer/empire waist tops are in right now so I can hopefully find some cheap stuff!!

have you checked ebay? or do you have any maternity/baby cosignment stores down there? Last time I was pg I lucked out with an almost 40 piece maternity lot on ebay for $102. With shipping I had an entire wardrobe for about $3 apeice. not bad.

Ew, me too. Right before I got pg I bought a new pair of pants (We wash often so I usually only have ONE, I turned my GOOD pair of pants into a skirt last month instead of my torn up ones, duh, so I was officially out) from Old Navy that were so cute and stretchy (I always have Baby Gut, I was born with it) and now they have to be unbuttoned all the time. I have a pair of maternity capris but that would require shaving my legs, and I am too lazy to be bent over in the shower just so I can wear pants.

I like burlington for their maternity bottoms, theyre around ten bucks, but man, their stuff is really ugly to me right now. And, I always reinforce the elastic by sewing up the sides so it cant bunch... makes them last longer.

I bought a bella band, but I didnt know it was going to be shiny. All my clothes are unfancy cotton, and wearing a shiny bella band doesn't work. And, they lie, you can SO tell my pants are undone. -mumble-
