I just bought wool covers, and I love them. I have not washed them yet, and I am on vacation without the shampoo. I am in Singapore, and they do not have any at either of the Singapore based diapering businesses, and if I was to order some it would take too long to get here. Is there anything else I can wash will to get us by? Should I was with regular detergent and add lanolin? How much detergent? Thanks in advance.

Sorry I have no idea at all about the wool. Just wanted to say I live in Vancouver just across the river from Portland! When are you moving?

Don't use regular detergent! Do you have any baby shampoo? That would be best. Use whatever you use on your dc, that way you know it won't bother their skin!

Of course, you'll also need the lanolin...

I would suggest regular shampoo or just rinsing really really well.
