I am sorry if this gets asked a lot but I am confused. I had an ultrasound done at 6w6d, and they found two babies, right next to each other, and it looked like two heartbeats. However the tech only got one measurement for the HB, and then she said it was to early to tell with the other, but that there were two in there. So I went to my doctors appointment today and he said the report came back that well one baby is for sure viable they are unsure if the second one is viable or not. So they schedules another ultrasound for three weeks from today. That will put me at almost 11 weeks. Has anyone had this happen and had both babies be ok? My doctored talked about vanishing twin, so I know that could happen. I really just want them both to be ok!

My 6 week ultrasound showed an empty sac and two heartbeats. The analysis at that time was that I had already lost one. There is a charming terror running round my house today that begs to differ.

We saw the third baby at 11 weeks - but nearly missed him then.

I had no ultrasounds to visually see my twins, but at 8wks I passed tissue that was exactly like the tissue I'd passed with my miscarriage 2 yrs earlier and went on to carry a healthy babe to term from the same pregnancy.

At my 6 week u/s we saw two sacs and two heartbeats. But one of the sacs was much smaller and they gave it a 50/50 chance. But within a few weeks, the babies were measuring the same size and I'm now 35 weeks pregnant with 2 boys (who at the 32 week u/s had the same measurements as each other)

Good luck

I also had two sacs at 7-8 weeks and waited 3 weeks for another ultrasound. At that time it was the one sac that is my 10 y.o. I was very sad about the loss of one but it was a rough pregnancy and I carried my dd to term. I don't think if it had been twins DD would have made it. So at the time it was very sad--but turned out all right.

Lots of well-wishes for two healthy babies going out to ya.

I also had two sacs and two heart beats at my 6 week ultrasound. One was quite a bit smaller and we were told to expect a singleton pregnancy. Now at 32 weeks my second "sac" is still measuring a week behind her brother..

At my 6 week u/s the doctor recommended not telling anyone that there were three because one was measuring so far behind. She was caught up by the next u/s at 8 weeks and has been a fighter since. She and her sisters turned three yesterday.
