I'm almost 11 weeks and for the past 2 weeks I've been on a carb binge (I was doing very low carb prior to getting pg this time and even in the early stages) ... now I'm only wanting cereal w/milk, crackers w/cheese all.day.long. Seriously -- Some days I realized that I've only eaten that by dinner time (like 3-4 bowls of all natural cereal and a bowl of crackers or maybe some waffles and a couple eggs). I do still like apples -- have probably 2 a day. This doesn't seem normal to me. I don't remember being this way during other pregnancies. I also CRAVE pasta and homemade mac and cheese. I still don't like to cook meat -- I can eat a little if it is already prepared (like at a restaurant) but I don't want to see or touch it raw.

That's how I was when morning sickness was a problem. I had to have bread with every meal, or I'd feel horrible. Plain protein was the worst, if not combined with bread. I don't think I ate a vegetable for 8 weeks, and very little fruit.

I'm eating a much more balanced diet now, and back to avoiding bread most of the time

i am having to keep a food diary for my midwife and i am noticing a lot of carby foods on there too. i do eat a lot of fruit, but not as many veggies as i should be eating. add to that the fact that really there aren't very many veggies in the house right now, we are scraping the bottom of the grocery barrel and it's been raining all day today so i don't really feel like going shopping! blah!

Every pregnancy I crave pasta like a crazy woman. I always ask dh for mac and cheese, too...which is funny b/c I haven't eaten cheese in 10 years. He usually satisfies my cravings with an amazing vegan mac and cheese.

Even though at 13 weeks my eating habits have gotten slightly more healthy, I did gag on my salad at lunch today.

I've never liked meat but lately, I've been on a naughty carb binge. I did find a brand of pasta that has added omega 3s, protein and is multi-grain. It's by Barilla and has a good taste/texture.

I've been eating too much cheese too and probably too much orange juice. I'm gaining weight too fast even though I'm not eating any junk food. I guess I need to watch my portion sizes. I have this illogical fear of starving the baby. The food diary is a great suggestion Fancyoats.

I can't get enough bread at breakfast. I can easily eat 3 slices of toast. After that, though, I don't want any carbs all day until late at night. Then I'll have cereal, milk, and about 1/2 cup of blueberries. Carbs in the middle of the day (mid-morning to about 10 at night) do NOT appeal to me.

Me, too, and usually we're very low-carb and only good whole grains, and now I want white potatoes, mac and cheese, yup.

I find if someone else gets some veggies ready for me, I'm more into them. It's just that carbs are easier to grab and eat w.o prep. I figure I'm surviving best I can for the next couple weeks and when m/s is over I can get back to the kind of eating that really makes me feel good, not just helps me get through the hour w/o vomiting.

I just try and eat balanced, if you have a juicer, use it!!! Add fresh veggies and fruit in the form of juice, and it's easy to get more nutrients, although the beet kale juive I just ate, is really not sitting well, I'm probaby going to puke it up. which is such a bummer because it took 20 minute to prepair
