I know Oregon Grape Root is used as a substitute for Goldenseal, which is not recommened during pregnancy. But I can't find any info on Oregon Grape Root during pregnancy.
I am using a boric acid suppository (in "00" capsules) to fight a yeast infection. This suppository also has powdered calendula and Oregon Grape Root added.
I am following the guidelines for Goldenseal in my Herbal Pregnancy Book (by Nancy Gardener), or maybe it was in Susun Weed's, which state no more than one "00" capsule of Goldenseal per day.
Since these capsules are mostly Boric Acid, I figure I'm well below the limit, though since vaginal absorption is in high gear during pregnancy, I'm have a small doubt.
Does anyone have anymore info?
