I'm visiting my IL's in Jenkintown and I'd like to buy some organic fruits and/or veggies for my kids. We're just a few blocks away from Whole Foods, but their prices are outrageous, and most of it isn't even organic!!! THey want $3.99/lb for organic grapes (or maybe that was Trader Joe's around the corner.) I just bought some last week in Indy for $1.69/lb. There's no reason for grapes in season to cost so much.

Is there a local place that sells organic produce? Maybe a local farm that has a stand not too too far away? Thanks!

You're not too too far from Weaver's Way co-op. There's also a Trader Joe's in the area. There's another store close to WF, I can't remember the name of it... but it's locally owned (I think it's a chain of like three stores) similar in style to WF. Also pricey, but the time I was there they had more organics, and some *really* cool stuff. That was a few years ago. I imagine your ILs will know what I'm talking about

All the big groceries in the area are carrying a good selection of organics these days. SuperFresh, Genuardis, Clemen's, even Giant and Acme.
