Our first look at "Cashew"!

I'm 11 weeks 3 days and I had my first u/s today. We saw the heart beat right away. Phew! We got a great look! Hands, feet, head. It looked like "she" was smiling. She also gave a good kick which makes her soccer mama proud
Aidan's face lit up with a smile when he saw his baby on the screen. We showed him his first u/s picture last night and told him we were going to see his baby today. Tim explained the u/s machine and told him the transducer was like a camera. We think that might have clicked. The OB gave him his own picture and he held on to it the rest of the time we were there and the whole way home.
So, I guess I really am pregnant. Reality is finally setting in and I think I can finally start feeling excited.
Just wanted to share.
Take care!

Soccer mama?

Yeah for seeing the baby!

Soccer and volleyball are two great loves in my life. I decided not to sign up for rec soccer this year 'cuz it was co-ed. I went to DH's game on Sunday and I'm glad I didn't go. I miss my old league...
That is great! It is so nice to get to that point where you can relax a little and get excited about it all.

I tried to play soccer and volleyball in high school, but volleyball was interfering with soccer. Soccer was my life until I was 25 and needed an ACL repair after a co-ed game. My team was great but some of the guys on other teams didn't like having female competition. I've played off and on since. Was thinking about being a guest player on my friends team but found out I was pg. Guess I'll have to wait
