Tomorrow is our yard sale! I have been prepping all week - the garage was cleaned and swept out. I borrowed tables from family and have everything grouped, labeled and priced. All the big stuff is tucked under the tables, ready to be displayed on the driveway tomorrow morning. I have change ready to go, and signs and balloons are ready to hang. I am still going through things and know I will find more tonight, so that will be added too.

We don't have anything worth a lot, so I don't anticipate making a lot of money. But I just hope to sell it all so that it doesn't go back in the house!

I should try to keep track of all the items sold so I can say I got rid of XX items tomorrow!

Now, just coax the sun to come out in PA!

And now the kids just asked to help by doing a lemonade & cookie stand, so I guess we;ll be making that tonight so they can have their own sale. They've never asked to do that before. Should be fun to watch!!!!

Good luck! I hope the sun comes out! I haven't had a chance to declutter anymore since our sale last week since our preteen neighbor who played with my 2yo while I worked in the basement has been grounded lol. I did cancel our cable tv though (a whole nother post of its own) so hopefully that will help to motivate me to go to after she goes to bed in the evenings. I know we have SOOO much more!
Good luck!
Good luck!

I don't know what part of the state you're in, but I'm in PA too. Tomorrow is opening day for DS's baseball, and my husband (weather addict) assures me that things will clear. We'll see!

Have fun! And as a yard sale shopper, thank you for pricing! Drives me crazy when things aren't priced.

We are getting ready for our rummage sale too. Although ours won't be for a couple weeks yet. Our subdivision is teaming up with the neighboring subdivision for a huge community rummage. I have tons of stuff to go through and sell. I am marking everything really cheap so I can get rid of it all. I am setting up a charity pick-up for the Monday after. That way nothing can go back in the house no matter how much it is "worth". I figure I'll work a little harder to sell it if I know that there are no second chances.
What I don't sell I will write off on my taxes.

Good luck and lots of good weather thoughts to you!!!!

Thanks for the well-wishes! The weather looks as though it will cooperate (at least not rain). The kids made cookies and brownies tonight and the lemonade and tea is ready to go!

All of our neighbors were setting up tonight too, so we'll have lots of company tomorrow!

JessA - we're in the Lehigh Valley - where are you? Oh - and I am a big yard sale shopper too and I can't stand when there are no price tags too! Sometimes it works in your favor, but most times you ask about the price and they want way too much.

I am a big believer that an organized sale does much MUCH better than one that is not. We'll see if that holds true tomorrow. There are several large neighborhood sales tomorrow, so I am hoping we get good traffic.

And I have decided that I wll allow myself to keep one rubbermaid box of things that don't sell - but only to keep them to take to my mom's neighborhood sale next month. All the little junk will be donated tomorrow afternoon so it doesn't go back in the house!

Small world! I'm in Harrisburg, but I grew up in Bethlehem. My family is still there in fact. I'll try not to send any yucky weather your way .

Good luck! We just had a laid-back yard sale, in which we put our stuff out (didn't have much) and asked people to put money in a can; we're donating the whopping $18 we made to the Elephant Sanctuary.

Weather held out great for us (it was a bit windy and we had a few things blow off tables, but nothing too bad) and we made $167.50 plus $11 at the lemonade stand. Best part is that all that is left was 4 rubbermaid boxes and a christmas tree. We've saving it for my sister's yard sale in 2 weeks now.

We did buy something at another sale - a small climber toy for the 2 babies to use - but it was on my short list of "yard sale needs" for this year. So I don't feel bad about buying it.
