We're into week three of CDing. We seem to be getting into a rhythm. The one awkward part of the process is the diaper bag. I don't seem to have a good system for packing the diaper bag and transporting clean/dirty dipes.

I have a Land's End Deluxe diaper bag - which I love - it's huge - but I still can't seem to fit enough dipes in it to cover being out for most of the day. Plus, the little plastic bag that comes with it is way to small for more than one dirty dipe. I end up having dirties in plastic bags all over the car by the end of the day. Plus, the big bag gets pretty heavy.

What kind of bags do you use to carry your essentials (dipes, covers, sippy cups, wipes, snacks, extra set of clothes for leaks/temp changes) while you're out and about?

Thanks!

I just have a regular diaper bag (well its not technically a diaper bag, from the accessory section at Target) but for dirty/wet dipes I use a zippered wet bag (I stuff it in my diaper bag). It holds the stink and wetness inside.

Hi! I used to use the little Lands' End bag that came w/my big one when she was tiny for short trips (it was big enough for a diaper, my wallet & that was about it, LOL). I always kept the big one stocked w/emergency supplies in the back of my car. That way I didn't have to cart it around. I usually used the big Land's End bag for going away for a whole day or more. It's so big

Now I use my boo-tee-ful Sally Spicer bag that I got in the co-op. I keep a couple of diapers, plastic bag, wallet, sippy, snack, various toys, wipes, etc in it. I have a small Bummis bag which I use when I remember. It's big enough for maybe 4 diapers max. Otherwise, I use plastic shopping bags. I figures it's a way to recycle them One thing you might be able to do is put more than 1 in the bag. I just hold my breath, open it up & toss the next one it :LOL .

Good luck!!
I carry an Urban Fibers bag (Urbanfibers.com) and it holds 4 AIOs usually but I could put in enough for a day if I really wanted too. Folded in the front pocket is a small wet bag and once a dirty dipe goes in it I transfer the wet bag to the trunk and will put more in it later if I need too. I also keep a few diapers in the trunk in our emergency break-down bag (the one with blankets, crackers, flashlights, mitts, etc. for the winter) so I know there's extras if I need them.

I carry a Petunia Picklebottoms bag. It's large enough that I can carry 4-5 dipes for each kid, change of clothes for Isabella, snack and sippy cup for Harrison, wet bag, and all my various paraphernalia! This thing is seriously huge!

I use a regular diaper bag. I just stick in a few of my AIOs or my new pocket dipes. Usually not more than three, a plastic container of wipes, a cup, and a bummis wet bag. There is an extra compartment where I can stick my stuff if I need to. I normally do not carry an extra set of clothes because I have never had leaks......I know, they can make a mess with food too, but I just never carry clothes. Although, I have considered putting a set in the van.

I will have to admit, lately, if we are only going out for a couple of hours.....I will make sure he has on a fresh dipe and then just stick a baggy of wipes and one AIO in a plastic baggy and put them in my purse. Once it is soiled, I just stick the yucky one in the bag and the wipes stay in my purse.
