Out of left field 2nd trimester vomiting

What in the world is going on? I managed to get to 18.5 weeks with mild nausea but I never have actually thrown up. I haven't felt sick at all for a good 3-4 weeks now. Well, on Saturday I began feeling queasy and was in bed all day long. I could not get comfortable or sleep.

Finally around 11:30 I threw up. Ugh that was awful. I woke up Sun morning starving so I thought I must have just eaten something bad. I had a big breakfast and felt good through the afternoon. I started feeling icky again last night and then woke up this morning feeling very queasy. I tried to eat a bagel and got about half down. Well, that came back up at about noon.

So, I called my midwife and asked her advice. She said most likely it is the baby pushing the intestines and stomach out of the way. In the past week I have really been feeling her kick and move alot so I gues she is using me as a punching bad and I my body is not liking it too much.

I can't complain too much since I absolutely love feeling her move. But this was totally unexpected. I thought the nausea part was past. I guess I had to puke at least once during the pregnancy right??? What other great suprises am I in store for?

Yuck! Don't know if you saw my post, but I've not felt great for the past week and a half or so. I nearly threw up this morning. So weird, since also like you, I haven't been sick for a solid month until this. Maybe it's the same thing for me. I feel the baby move regularly now.
Oh no, I bet it is the baby moving around and claiming his space! I hope this doesn't last too long. Hopefully the baby and my stomach can learn to get along.

I was up all night long I was so nauseous. I finally threw up dinner at about 5 am. I haven't slept since then. I just feel awful. I was starving, so I ate breakfast, but I am so scared of throwing it up again. Waahh. Can I have some cheese with all my wine.

OH dear, that is no fun at all.. hopefully it is temporary..
Michelle, if it keeps up, I'd talk to your mw again. I've just never heard of a baby causing you to throw up. Maybe feeling a little off or feeling nauseous, but to be throwing up like that is just weird. I wonder if there is anything else that could be causing it?
Yeah, I will call her back later today if I can't keep my food down. I really hope it isn't anything serious. I have already lost 2 lbs since Friday.
