Until two weeks ago, my 18 month old only had her front four teeth. She just got one on the bottom next to the front two. Today I noticed in her mouth that she has two in the middle/back on top (one on each side) that also must have popped through in the last two weeks. I thought teeth came in pretty much in a general order, front to back. Now I am worried that she won't be getting that middle block of teeth.

Does anyone know anything about this or have experience with something similar?

I've been told that it's pretty common for "later" teethers to get their teeth out of order with no worrisome results. My 17 month old JUST got his first tooth last week!

My baby is getting her teeth in in the same order as yours.

I wouldn't sweat it. I don't think the "order" thing is hard and fast.

My babe looked like a vampire for a while when she got side teeth before front ones.

My DD got her teeth out of the "proper order." But they're all in now and seem to be just fine.
