A good friend of mine's mother was recently diagnosed. She's in her mid to late 50's.

Her symptoms were very vague and difficult to diagnose. She had abdominal distension for weeks, constipation and abdominal pain. No masses were seen on CT scan. She was seen in the ER a few times to take fluid off her abdomen.

Official diagnosis came when she had a diagnostic laparoscopy and they found a large tumor on her ovary (although I think they suspected ovarian cancer before the lap. I'm a nurse, and I know that was what I suspected based on her symptoms). She had a complete hysterectomy, and is currently undergoing chemo.

Blessings to you.
