Theresa has one on www.littleturtleknits.com under Patterns/ "Big Ones" -- haven't tried to make it but it looks awesome!

If you read the description, it might be on one of the other pages, it says it's intermediate because you need to do math to figure out your size, yarn, etc. I'm sure Theresa will help you with all that if you order the pattern! I think the stitching itself is pretty basic, increasing decreasing etc.

I am going to buy that pattern when I have some extra $ - I really want one of those.

Actually, I *need* one of those. It was downright chilly this weekend & I couldn't get a coat on over the Moby....

I am a newbie, though, so I hope I can figure it out!

I just took a deep breath and bought it & the yarn (chunky wool-ease). It is knit in the round, which I haven't done before; I hope I can figure this out! I ordered the yarn on-line so it'll be a few days before I can knit up my swatch and start doing the math. Moral support, please!

I LOVE knitting in the round, and I bet you will too. I think it's easier than knitting straight, because you don't have wacky edges and you never have to purl. You just keep going around and around and you're done!

Don't stress. Have fun, and you better post pics!

Hey Laura,

I want to make it too. Maybe this would be a good thing to get together to work on. I could help you with any issues.

I would like that. I just started another scarf last night because I know it's easy and I can't fail. LOL! But, I really need to "move on" to something more challenging.

I'll buy the pattern this weekend.

I'm trying my hand at dyeing some fisherman's wool this weekend, too.

I still haven't decided what type of yarn I want. I don't really want a bulky wool because I'm top heavy as it is and don't really want to accentuate it any more than necessary. I think I might try some alpaca from Knit Picks. What's everyone else using?

THere was a knit-a-long for it here a while ago, if you do a search for it, I'm sure a lot of that info will be of help to you
