I haven't seen or heard anything from countingmore. I hope she and her baby are doing well. I believe she was UC'ing, but her labor wasn't progressing after ROM.

I hope those contractions stay around and turn into an easy, quick labor for you, MamaShannon. I bet your midwife is right about your babe flipping breech following the cerclage removal. Hopefully, she'll flip in labor. If not, it sounds like your midwife is confident in a beautiful breech birth. I know my midwife is very comfortable with breech birth.

As for me, my appointment went perfectly today. It couldn't have gone better in fact. Thus far, my pregnancy has been textbook perfect including my measurements, weight gain, bloodwork, and blood pressure, and today looked just as well. So, my midwife said that we could actually wait until the end of next week before seeing the OB AND that we can wait a bit longer before we consider a natural induction at home. What an amazing relief!!! And, since my appointment, I've been having more moderate to significant regular contractions. I feel so much better emotionally, and I think eliminating the fear around seeing the OB before my boy is likely to pick his birth day has really allowed my body to open up. I'm so excited that I'll have more time (and time in which I think baby will come) to allow labor and birth to occur naturally at home.

OdinsMommy0409, let us know how your appt goes today. I tried castor oil induction with my daughter. It got some cx started, but mostly just gave me diarrhea, LOL! But I was only 38 weeks pregnant at that point, so no wonder it didn't work (I had been leaking fluid at home and was planning a hospital birth, so I desperately wanted cx to start on their own in order to avoid a pitocin induction...).

I'm now 40w4d and have had a few bouts of false labor that have lasted anywhere from 2-4 hours at night, but obviously nothing has stuck. I did lose a bit of mucous plug last night after sex, so that was good at least. I was also up from 1:30-4:30am with rather painful cx, and was so excited that maybe it was for real, but alas, they fizzled by 5:00am. So now I'm just home with my 3 year old completely exhausted.

Oh, and have I mentioned that my baby flipped BREECH two weeks ago? My MW thinks that she probably flipped after my very invasive cerclage removal procedure, and I think she's probably right. Before then, she was head down and engaged since 32 weeks. I've tried everything to get her to flip (acupuncture with moxibustion, chiro, breech tilt position, hands & knees position, peas on baby's head, music down below...) but nothing has worked. She hasn't budged one bit. We are still going ahead with our plans to birth at home with our amazing midwife, so I am just trying to relax about the whole thing and read lots of positive breech birth stories.

I just want to be holding my baby in my arms SO badly!
