I cried because my fabric took up too much room.
Then I met a mama who had no fabric.

You can donate some of your stash, including notion, patterns, etc. to mamas and kids in need through the holiday helper thread.
http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=550285

or, to go directly to the list of families in need, in case you don't have enough posts to get into TAO, go here:
http://www.spatulagirl.com/holidayhelper/ and click on "go help."

You can do a search for "fabric" or "sewing" to see those families could benefit from some of your stash.

When I buy fabric, I always buy extra "in case of emergency", and now here's the emergency. I sent off a box of flannel and terry to a mama who can make diapers, and another box of corduroy and fleece is waiting to be mailed today. I know I won't miss it, indeed I feel freer already with the extra space.
And just think, if you give some away, that will make more room for you to be able to get more!

Cool! Every little bit helps.

And you can read through the families needs to see if you have other things to get rid of that they might need.

I take a box to my church every six months. They make quilts for 3rd world countries and linus project. And I donate scraps to an cat shelter to make mice to fundraise for the shelter.

Hey ladies, I was thinking about the HH thread & extra fabric, but I had a slightly different idea... if there are some mamas here who can sew for HH mamas, but don't have any fabric, perhaps we could send it off to those moms.

That way un-crafty HH moms in need could get homemade stuff & moms who don't have $$ for supplies could still help.

Any takers?
