Ovulation tests

571 Views 8 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Shorin_Mama
Okay, I just took a urine ovulation test and the result window is slightly lighter than the comparison color window. Does this mean I am not ovulating or I am? The test says the result window needs to be as dark as or darker than the comparison color window so I guess it means I'm not, but it's really close in color to it. Dang generic tests!! Anyone know?

It sounds like you are starting your surge, but aren't quite there yet. I would bet tomorrow's test will be darker than the control line.

GOod luck.
I've never even received a positive on an OPK.
: I agree with Adina, tomorrow's will probably be darker and they'll be no question.

Hubby is too tired tonight

I've been there before.

Today should be good too. The OPK shows the LH surge just prior to ovulation. The egg should drop 12-48 hours after a + OPK.

Have fun!

We did this morning, but my CM had already changed to sticky and not stretchy. I just took another test a few minutes ago to see if I already ovulated and I must have because it was negative.
I suppose there is still a minute chance right....?

I think you still have a good chance. You don't know what kind of CM is right up by your cervix unless you did an internal check. My CM is always worse in the morning -- even on my heavy EWCM days. I've felt "dry" and did an internal check only to find loads of good CM -- which came down naturally by mid afternoon. I think it just takes a while for it to work down.
