I think that is a very good description of the pain. I have it too and have been told it is the seperation of the pubis smyphonis, a band of thick ligaments in the front of your pelvis. It holds the pelvis together. During pregnancy, your body makes the hormone relaxin, which does what it says. All the ligaments relax to make room for babe to move through easily.
What I found helps is: avoiding stairs, sleeping with pillow between knees, avoiding uneven ground like sand, carefully bending at knees to pick up stuff, ice and ice and ice. Ice really feels good!
Also, try to avoid lifting heavy objects that can cause strain on your body. The pelvis carries a lot of your body's weight and especially when pregnant.
Hope this helps!
