My son is just over a year old, and in the past few days I've had occasional sharp pains in my left breast. There seems to be no pattern - it isn't confined to just after he nurses on that side.

I'm wondering if this is tied to the fact he has been nursing like crazy the past 72 hours or so. He is teething big time (4 teeth coming through at once...poor kid) and had two vaccines (MMR and chicken pox) on Thursday, so he went from nursing about 5 times a day and 2 times at night to 8 times a day and 4-5 times at night.

Any other suggestions? No signs of clogged ducts, mastitis, etc.

Thanks :)
