This is my third child, fourth pregnancy. I am 17 weeks along. At times I feel a pain in my left side. It will be a spasmic type of pain and it is there for about 30-60 seconds and then gone. I swear it feels like fingernails inside my body scraping me.

It's a very ouchy feeling. I remember when my other babies were farther along in utero and they would kick or I could feel something like nails but that was when I was like 7-9 months in to the pregnancy, not 17 weeks! Is it possible this is the baby or is it all in my mind?

Perhaps it's pain in my ovaries but it's in a spot that feels like it's right there where the baby has been situated since the first time I heard it's heartbeat at 9 weeks. This baby must have implanted in my lower left side because this is where it has remained so far for the entire pregnancy.

I'm just curious if anyone else has had this type of pain?

Just today I have been having a little bit of a shooting/pulling pain on my right side..very low in my abdomen, way below my belly button, and off to the side. It has been coming and going all day. I have been chalking it up to growing, stretching muscles. Could this be what you are having?
