OUCH. I'm in pain here and wondering if anyone has experienced this. Gonna call the lac consultant too, but sometimes someone who has experienced the same symptoms can help too.

My right nipple gets really hard sometimes. Usually after nursing and it won't "relax". I noticed it is white at the tip of the nipple after nursing too.

I've had trouble with eczema with my first child and that is flaring up again too, so I've started treating that with antibiotic creams and a steriod cream. But this hard painful nipple is bugging me. It hurts when he nurses too.

Anyone help!!!

Thanks

I have that. I think it's called vasospasm of the nipple - the veins constrict the blood flow which makes it white and painful. The medication I take for high blood pressure seems to alleviate it somewhat, but not entirely. There may be other options I don't know about it, I'm just living with it for now.
