Hi! I'm not sure where else to post this, but since I'm planning for a VBAC, I thought I'd post it here. I had a c-section with my daughter, and now I've been having pains every once and a while. What do pains from a previous c-section feel like, or should there be any kinds of pain from it? I've read that there can be pains, like from the area around the scar stretching or whatnot? Any info would be appreciated, DH is worrying that something is wrong, but I think it might be normal...

You are pg now? How far along?

I had awful pain in my scar area at about 36 wks for a week. Then it went away. To the best of my knowledge, it must have been adhesions releasing.

I'm 16 weeks, sometimes it's a burning sensation, sometimes it's a stretching. It doesn't last long, and it's not usually *real* painful, but enough to make me notice.

Sounds like adhesions. I hope it subsides as the scar tissues separate. If you are concerned, you can talk to your care provider. I have heard that scar massage can help. Hope your birth is great!

I sometimes get burn like stretchy pains in the scar area. Nothing much though. I have heard the scar will hurt during labor. I have had 2 c's and I'm 33 weeks now.

I got burning pains around my scars as well- I assumed it was stretching and possibly adhesions too. During labor I did not have any pain around my scars.

I have had one c-section followed by 2 VBAC...I did not have any pain during my pregnancy or labor or after my VBAC at my c-section site. I am thinking its probaly adhesions. It might depend at the amount of time from c-section to VABC!

I posted the same question during my pregnancy and got similar responses. I had sharp pains along the incision at various points during my incision. You'll be OK.
