Last few days I've been having migrains. So yesterday I just was really taking a lounge day- watching tv, youtube, not really going anywhere.... Saturday morning I had a migraine- let me back up. Then later the same day- nausea headache, etc. Then yesterday I just had the nausea. All day, constant, grating nausea. So even though I'm nearly 35 with an IUD I took a hpt. Negative. Haven't had a period in a while, but its normal to skip on the mirena iud. Then this morning, I wake up with sharp pains in my cervix and aching in my lowerback. No fever, though. Never experienced that before- thought it should be related to starting my period or sometimes having to have a bm. (Must press on a nerve or something.) Nope. None of those. The pain has subsided for now, but it was taking my concentration a bit, earlier, until I put a heating pad on my lower back and laid on the couch.

Any ideas, advice, imput?

I called my OB/GYN's office and the nurse who called me back seem concerned and confused and said after she talks with my dr. she will call me back. Still no call-back. She asked me to check for the strings which I found, BUT it wasn't easy.

I was thinking maybe the iud slipped out of place. hope everything is ok, and that you find relief soon.

The nurse did call back finally. She didn't really have any more to add. She said to use a heating pad and motrin if it happened again and if it got worse to go to the ER. Today I've been fine but still weirdly nauseated, but not too bad.
