Ugg, my mom and I decided to paint my living room and foyer this weekend. Its right off the dining room, which we use as the family room, so its basically toys everywhere!

Already, I decluttered the coloring books, stickers and toddler crafts and put them in a big basket on top of the tv cabinet. They were in a bunch of little baskets and it looked dumb.

Then I put my games on the shelf in my closet. There is no time for these games with a little one around.

Now I need to load up 27 gazillion books into something, put those somewhere so I can move the bookshelf into the laundry room for the weekend.

Plus, I have a bunch of garage sale clothes in the living room that I need to price. Why do I start so many projects?? I already sorted and washed them. I put all the 0-24 months in garbage bags for Goodwill. I decided my garage sale would be size 2T-5 to keep it simple. I have got to get those sizes marked and put back into tubs to go in the garage.

I also have to put all of DDs play food somewhere and find a place for her kitchen.

We already have the paint and supplies and we are going to get started early Friday morning.

Who else is making 4th of July weekend "project weekend?"

for the books, use your luggage and stash under the dining room table.

for the clothes that are already sorted into sizes, just put them back into the bins and label the outsides with tape. if you have to combine multiple sizes within the same bin, keep them sorted by putting them into bags first. you do not have to price them now . . . why? just do it later.

can the kitchen and playfood spend the weekend in your garage? if not, do you have two bathtubs - you could put that stuff in the second tub and let dd use yours for the weekend.

have fun and enjoy your new lr & foyer!

Woo hoo, I got it done! Tomorrow I have to caulk some cracks in the corner, putty the holes, lay and tape dropcloths, and take down the curtains.

Luckily, my grandma is watching my daughter on Friday morning so we can get started. I think it will go a little better without a 2 year old around!

You are doing great! Keep up the great work!

I am finishing a scrapbook this weekend. I have six more pages and it will be DONE!!! I also hope to get all that stuff cleaned up and put away since I am going on a scrapbook weekend getaway with friends next weekend and I need to finish getting THAT project ready. The basics are done and ready, so it'd be so much easier to get to the fun stuff as I am putting away the other project extras. The nearly finished project is all outdoorsy, warm colors (browns, warm greens, fall reds, etc) and the new project is all bright colors (purples, yellows, blues, cool greens, etc), so there is NO overlap.

Yeah, last night I had a glass of wine, then decided I should get on the ladder to finish caulking the molding. It was interesting.

DH was out of town this week and I decided it'd be a great time to paint the foyer, living room and hall. I got everything done except the wall with the big bookcases - it's currently an "accent wall" since I was too lazy to unload and move the shelves on my own.
now that DH is back, tomorrow we will tackle removing carpet and shaping up the hardwood floors underneath in our office.
yay for projects
