The artist formerly known as the headband. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
I used <a href="http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=86&d_id=10&lang=us" target="_blank">the pattern found at Drops Designs</a>, but this can also be found over at Craftster (search Panta).<br><br>
It's a great pattern, knit-up in about 4 or 5 hours ... super fun. No idea! OMM? You totally should make that for your sis ... it knit-up so quickly, I'm considering re-vamping my whole x-mas list. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><div style="margin:20px;margin-top:5px;">

Thanks for all the nice comments! I got to wear my purty panta out today, I am SO enjoying this little accessory (I'm wearin it now!). I like that I can wear it indoors and outdoors and be warm in both places. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><br><br>
Might hafta make another one...

I love the headband! I am going to make some -- I was already planning to make my family some scarves for Christmas, but wanted something else to go along with it. This would be perfect!<br><br>
I was looking at some yarn from that 100% wool site that you posted. I think 1 skein is enough to make the scarf and the headband (I'm going to make the curly purly dropped yarnover scarf). What do you think?<br><br>
ETA: The yarn the pattern is made for is 75 meters (about 82 yards) to a skein and it looks like they only used one. They describe the yarn as a heavy worsted weight.

Yeah I think one would be enough. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
You could always do a couple people in the same colors so you have a little extra back-up yarn, kwim?

I had allowed this pattern to fall off my map and there you go, putting it squarely back on my radar. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Well I just e-mailed my family a link to 100% pure wool and told them to pick a color. (I didn't tell them what I am making, but if I'm going to spend all that time, I want them to like what they get!) I think if I make the Panta first, and then use whatever is left to make the scarf, it'll work. The scarf pattern says it stretches a LOT when blocked, so it should be okay.

Yours is so pretty! I made two last year - one in Peace Fleece which is way too itchy for me to wear, and one in IBK Galenas. Might have to do another in a variegated yarn tho' after looking at yours.......
