When DS gets up crazy early and refuses to go back to bed, I put on Sponge Bob so I can crash on the couch for another hour. I see no problem with it at all.

I bribe him with sips of my soda so he'll bring me one from the fridge and I don't have to get up from the couch.

He and his BFF were squabbling in the backseat once on a long car trip and I silenced them with french fries.

I've been known to use candy as a motivator for chores.

*shrug* I don't think any of these are life-altering decisions. I think DS is turning out just fine despite me. :-D

DS watches a shameful amount of television. I mean, it's awful. Thomas the Train and Chuggington. All. Night. Long.

Sometimes I "make" the kids sing the "I Love Mommy" song before I"ll do whatever it is they are asking me to do. (There's an I Love Whoever song for everyone in our family)

My 17 month old loves french fries, so we order him only that when we go to In N Out. Yup, that'll be his lunch sometimes, an order of fries.

And meanwhile....I'll go an entire week without bathing DD because she HATES. THE. BATH. And she lets me know it.

Dh and I figure we're eating fun junk so why make DS sit and watch? And it's easy to hand fries back during car trips.

* I let DD watch an extra episode of Dora so I can have quiet time on the computer and so she can stop whining! Dora is used as a bargaining tool for a quite a few things when I'm tired and just want some quiet.

* DD is very fashion forward and I'm proud of that.

* I let DD watch Golden Girls (as long as Blanche isn't talking about sex) when she makes a request for it.

I didn't intervene and allowed DS2 to come up behind DS1 waving a bamboo rice paddle that whacked DS1 smartly on the top of his head. DS1 was being mean to the baby, and a little smiting seemed in order... And then DH and I laughed because it was quite a perfect smack. DS1 was not amused.

The TV was just introduced to DD when DS came home and DD was home sick as well. She is now in love with Caillou and Elmo. And I will use those to bribe her.

These are so awesome! Here's mine: I wish my 2 year old would watch TV so I could have more peace. I put on a kid's movie or show and try to get her to watch. She has no interest whatsoever. Sigh....
