i know i should be used to it by now but i think i'm just sensitive as "helpful" MIL and family keep giving me this thing along w/ the free baby magazine in Wal Mart that has those cruddy ads which claim that formula will make your baby's eyes better and show fuzzy pics against clearer ones to demonstrate this.

anyhow, in the most embarrassing moments section this woman wrote in about how she BFs at home but will not do it in public as it's not modest. she was in the store w/ her baby and 4yo and when she gave the infant a bottle of formula which he rejected w/ screams the 4yo shouts out "NO mommy, you're supposed to give the baby your boobies!"

the kid gets it! sheesh! who did a number on that mom's head. at least she tries at home but the fact that it qualified as one of the top 10 most embarrassing happenings in her life made me so so sad.

Well, most adults are quite embarrassed when a small child points out the obvious loudly in public. It's kinda along the lines of the same kid pointing out a fat person's butt when they bend over to get something off a low shelf in the same store. Yes, what the kid is saying is true, but no need to say it loudly. Smart kids, but I'm not too sure about the momma.
