This is my fourth baby. My three children were born in hospitals, and I dreaded the experience each time. I showed up at the last moment, my child was born, and I begged them to let me go home. This time we've decided to go with a homebirth. I know that this is the right option for us. Unfortunately I'm getting increasingly anxious, and I need a good reality smack.
We went to an OB/GYN early on to be "cleared" for the homebirth. We just wanted to make sure that everything was ok. I think I felt more like I needed to prove it to everyone else. Anyhow, they gave me a due date of May 25th. They did and ultrasound and changed my due date to May 31. I know that I'm not "that" overdue, but still my anxiety is getting the best of me.
Help...

I find the best way to get through the last few days is to try and find a project of some sort that will take a LONG time, and then try and get it done before the baby comes.

When I am putting my energies into finishing an impossible project in a limited time, time seems to fly by until I am suddenly having a baby.

Hope you are holding your little one soon.

Can borrow or rent a doppler to check on baby's heartbeat? That might help ease your fears about going overdue. Plus, I think the fear drilled into society about going "over" is really deeply ingrained, but that's where the faith in your body and your ability to do what your body was designed to do comes in.

Any chance you can get into a pool or deep tub to help alleviate some of the baby in the pelvis pressure? Just floating can do wonders

And the most natural way to induce labor? Sex That's what got you into this, and it can definitely help get you out of it!
