OK I'm working along on a pattern from knitty.com (the cigars) and I've hit a point where I can't figure out what they mean. I'm not really used to going by patterns since they rarely make sense to me and I usually wing it and kind of make my own patterns. (my moto is kind of a "patterns? I don't need no stinking patterns?" look at things. LOL)

The pattern is here http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer05/PATTcigar.html and I'm working on the thumb gusset. I have gotten through this part "Next Round: K all sts.
Increase Round: K1, m1, k to end of round, m1.
Repeat these 2 rounds 5 times more. 48[52, 56] sts."
and I am trying to figure out this part "K 3 rounds. Work Increase Round.
Repeat these 4 rounds 1[2, 3] times more. 52[58, 64] sts." To me this seems to say knit three rounds and then increase but that doesn't make any sense and since I'm doing the small size for Dh how do I repeat four rounds one time?

I'm confused! Am I missing something here?

TIA

You need to knit 3 rounds and then do the increase round (K1, m1, k to end of round, m1). That will give you 50 stitches. Repeat that whole sequence again: knit three rounds, then do the increase round again, giving you 52 stitches.

HTH!
