As most of you know, I have PCOS, and this is my first pregnancy after trying for nearly 12 years. I am 16 weeks now, and for the past week my facial hair, "that I usually get rid of Daily" is growing at a profound rate. Has anyone else experianced this? Is it more prone to happen with a boy baby, since he is producing testosterone? Or is it just my increase in hormones? I don't know the sex of the baby yet. I wont know for another month. I am just so curious as to why I feel like the bearded lady right now. I bascially have to carry stuff with me to make sure that im not caught off guard. I have to constantly check in the mirrors in bathrooms to make sure that nothing embarrassing will happen.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue for me???? PLEASE

And does anyone know how to make it go away????

Maybe I should have posted this in another area. This questions isn't really just directed towards our DDC. I may not find many women with the same problem here. I was wondering how do I move this post to the pregnancy page, or somewhere else where everyone will be able to read it?

If you have to be a senior member, can someone please do it for me??

You can't move a post - only mod's can do that - but you can post another one somewhere else, directing people to come and visit your post.... hth.

In terms of facial hair (and I odn't have PCOS) but I think facial hair and hair in general seems to grow a lot more during pregnancy..... Fingernails, too - maybe it is the improved vasularisation???

I've read that many women experience an increase in all body hair during pregnancy. I'm a pretty hairy girl to begin with, so this isn't all that exciting to me, either

thanks guys. I will just post again somewhere else. Thanks!!! I did get some good info off that site. It seems that hair growth is more intense durring pregnancy, and since I have PCOS, its 100 times worse.
