What is the standard baby visit schedule for France? In the states I think it's one week, two weeks and one month. When should I schedule my daughters first ped visit here in France? What should I expect at that visit?

Can you reccomend a Ped near Vers/Paris? I've had Dr Lovejoy reccomended at the american hospital but frankly I'm not overly impressed with the communication at that hospital. If I found someone more local (about 35k west of Paris) that spoke English (we're still working on our french but it's currently in a sad state) I'd love to try them out first.

Thanks,
Only 3 visits are obligatory up to the age of 2. After that I think the obligatory visits are at ages 6, 9, 12 and 15.

For babies, the schedule is:

Around/after 8 days
at 9-10 months
at 2 years

Of course you can go more often but it is not necessary.

Here in Germany the American consulate has a list of English-speaking doctors. Of course we have found that some "English-speaking" docs on the list can say only hello, how are you? where does it hurt and thank you but others really are fluent.
Have you contacted the American and British consulates to see if they have such w list?

the caf has one list of mandatories and the carnet de sante has another -- well, they're not mandatory but highly suggested, i guess.

the ones that plaid mentioned are for the caf. do you claim money from them?

the carnet de sante has special pages for birth, the second month, the fourth month, ninth month and 24th month.

Hi,
I've used Dr Polack from Le Vesinet and she's nice, and she speaks English, although you would probably need a little French to make the appointment with the secretary.
