I am interested in learning about pedestrian friendly towns and cities all over the world. By pedestrian-friendly, I mean there are more pedestrians than cars: people walk year-round.

A friend of mine has a website carfreecity.com or carfreecity.us or something. He lives in Berkeley half time and Mexico half time but really wants to build a car free city.... last I knew he was still looking for a place. I haven't checked his site lately. I wish we could dump cars and get a great rail system and walk more... (sigh) as I begin my 30 mile commute.....
