Anyone have any recommendations?

My ds was seeing a dentist in B-more and I loved it. They had a really cool play area in the waiting room and back in the dental area had TV's in the ceilings with cartoons playing.

Now we have a different insurance and can take him to a dentist here instead of b'more, but Im having trouble finding one.

I'd appreciate any recommendations for a good pediatric dentist.

No problems just taking him for a cleaning. He's 3 and this will be his second cleaning, although he's been going to the dentist since he was 1.

I don't know how far you're willing to drive, but if Montgomery County is ok with you I highly recommend Dr. Mark Barren in Gaithersburg. We have been going to him for about 10 years now - he and his staff are all fun, gentle and kind. The office is very kid-friendly. There are tv's showing kid shows up high in each room, an ice cream parlor style menu board listing the "flavors of the day" for the cleaning paste and parent-friendly parlor tables and chairs in each room. My kids feel welcome, liked and respected there...so do I!

3boysmom, do you have a phone number for his office? also, how old were your kids when you started taking them there - do you think I should take my 14 month old in (he's got 8 teeth)?

That place sounds really neat. I'd like to avoid travelling that far, but will if need be.

Anyone else recommend something similar but closer to the city?

Ok, since no one else has any suggestions can anyone recommend another message board where I might get some suggestions?
