i am tired of mainstream pediatricians...although i do like my children's doctors, i would love to fing a homeopathic doc for them (and myself, for that matter). i live in kendall in miami florida. i've tried internet searches but can't find a good site for referrals. any input would be great. thanks. -laura

Dr. Eric Rydland he is the best but he only takes a few insurances or cash. We went to visit him and we loved him.<br>
Since he could not take our insurance we go to Dr Linda Colon at Hollywood Birth Center and she is also amazing.

the insurance thing seems to be a problem with a lot of naturopathic and homeopathic docs. I live in kendall, and found a naturopathic dr. right near me, but she only takes cash too, so being on a limited income right now, we have to go to the doc that our insurance takes. i am going to do a search and see if rydland is on our insurance. thanks for the input.

Dr Bauzo in Miami is also good. We "go" to Rydland- but I dont' totally agree with some of his marketing techniques.<br>
Luckily I take my kids to the doctor like every 2 years or so. I just get the free school check locally for the school forms.

I took my daughter to Dr Bauzo until she was about 6 months old when we moved away. We love him!<br><br>
I was really impressed when we went to our prenatal "interview" (we interviewed him and a few others, including Rydland). Dr Bauzo asked me if I intended to breastfeed my baby. I, of course, said yes. His response: "Good. Because if you didn't, I wouldn't feel comfortable with you as a client. If the mother isn't going to take the child's health seriously, there isn't much a pediatrician can do." I liked that!<br><br>
Emma didn't have any vaccinations during that 1st 6 months we were with him and he was totally cool with that - even recommending against some entirely.<br><br>

Dr. Linda Colon is excellent. She is in Hollywood and Weston. Depending where you will move in Miami, she may not be too far.<br><br>

Actually, the names everyone has mentioned have come up in several referrals from friends, too. Another one worth mentioning is Michael Geraldi...he is in Kendall. I think he is going to be the final doctor that we switch to. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> He was my closest friend's pediatrician for her entire childhood and my friend's mother was a LLL leader/very into natural parenting and she loved him. Thanks for the info. Atleast I have a few names to start with...Now I gotta see who my insurance will take once I am down there. I am going to have to apply for medicaid once we are there. We will be moving to Coral Gables for a couple of years so my husband and I can go to school while my mother helps with my 2 yr. old daughter and brand new baby.<br>

Don't know if anyone is still keeping up with this thread, but I did go to Michael Geraldi and have to say I was very impressed. He was so supportive of me and my choices and even told me he respected me b/c I was doing research and raising questions about vax'ing. He supported me breastfeeding and even gave me some homeopathic info too. Highly recommend him. FWIW, one of my best friends here had him as her ped. when she was little and her mother was a LLL leader and pro-attachment parenting and she loved him too. He was awesome!
