I'm not sure if this is a new episode, or has been discussed here, but the opening of tonights show had this scene:

The female doctor talking to a young teenager, telling him he's suffering from a condition called Phimosis, which she said was a "hardening of the foreskin"
I was just waiting with my fingernails in my mouth, waiting for her to say "circumcision".
But instead she said "As part of your treatment, I'm going to ask that you masturbate 5 times a week." (which then the mail doctor says, "5 times a week! That's cutting back for me!")

Anyway, even though I didn't like them portraying foreskins as a condition ridden body part (although phimosis does exist, she could have thrown the word "rare" in there or something) I'm pretty pleased that she didn't even mention circ the answer to it.

Haha, and as I'm typing this, another penis scene came on.
The male doctor and female doctor are riding horse, and he got some kind of injury to his groin. She is examining his testicles, etc, and then she says "testing for retraction" and then he opens his eyes big and says "retracted!".
I wonder of that means he is intact?

Anyway, just found it interesting. Anyone else see it??

Yeah, that's an old episode and scrubs is pretty well known for being anti-circ. Dr Cox's son is also intact. And Carla thinks it's "barbaric" and said "I just wonder what the baby would say"

I didn't see it that way so much as "hey foreskin problems can be fixed without circumcision"

That show has had many "intact" references. Including an episode where a mom and dad are trying to decide and fighting over what to do, and everyone tells them circ is not necessary, etc. We have it on DVD and there is a scene that didn't make the final cut where someone says something like "if you want him to look like you you'll have to loose 200 lbs and shave yourself" or something to that effect.
