DS is 19 months old and usually nurses every 2-4 hours. Lately he occasionally stretches out the time between nursing -- today he went 6.5 hours! I did not like the way I felt at all -- in addition to feeling somewhat engorged, I felt very anxious and hot. I assume it was hormonal. Does anyone else have this strong a reaction? Did your body ever adjust to erratic nursing patterns?

BTW, I guess I could have relieved the feeling by asking him to nurse, but he had fallen asleep while out with DH and I didn't want to roust him just for my comfort.

I had that when dd first started spreading out the nursings. It did get better when my body adjusted to it, but that also happened when she became less regular about nursing. So after I could no longer say we "skipped" a nursing because we didn't have a schedule- it wasn't a problem.

I wish I had more insight. Hormones suck :LOL

Peace,
