Hello all-

We are looking to do some shopping before our baby arrives in July/August and would love know if anyone knows of any physical stores that sell cloth diapers/ eco friendly baby wear, toys etc. We are in western MA...willing to travel to VT, NH, NY, CT, RI.

Thanks!

There's a health food store in Albany that sells natural toys. I wish I knew a brick & mortar store that sold cloth diapers! There's a place in Saratoga that really *should* sell cloth diapers because of its name, but it doesn't (it's called Mudpies & Fireflies :LOL)!

Hey lunabeans,

I grew up in Western Ma... Longmeadow... & I still get back there about once a month.

Now I live in a galaxy far, far away... on Cape Cod! :LOL

I don't know of a store in the area, but you might check with the owner of Zannadu... she's in Framingham & offers to come to you if you have a diaper party!

Also, I've found a lot of cders in LLL & I've yet to meet a cder IRL who doesn't LOVE to talk/show/share all things cloth!

Finally, if you're ever coming this way, lmk, I'd be happy to assemble a few of my cd friends together for you to see what we've got! (I'm pretty new to cds myself, so I don't have much!... yet!)

Good luck

Hi there -
I'm in central VT and there are several stores in the area (Montpelier and Burlington) that carry Kushies cloth diapers, natural baby gear and organic baby clothing and so forth. There's a much better selection on line, so your best bet is to meet up with someone who CDs IRL and check out what they have going and use that to help you decide what you think you might like.

if you need any more info, feel free to pm me!

I second Joanne from www.zannadu.com
She sets up workshops and will come to your house to caht aboth cloth and to show you the ropes.
I called her last week, and she wasn't free until July, so she is in high demand!!
She was great to chat too though and her shipping is so quick.

I'm in Western MA, too!!! I haven't gone myself yet, but Loveybums sells her stuff in Northampton, Greenfield, and Amherst -- if you go to www.loveybums.com, it should list the names of the stores. The one in Northampton is called Kids Kloset -- again, I haven't gone yet, but I'm hoping to go soon -- I want to see some of her diapers to find out why they get such raves!!!

If you are in CT, you can visit the Papaya Patch in West Hartford Center. She carries Sugarpeas, as well as FBs, Kissaluvs and Bummis and some other mass produced CDs. Its a great store! I second Loveybums at Kids Kloset as well, great place!

I used to live in Northampton (miss my it and my friends terribly even though I love the Twin Cities) and Kid's Kloset, my favorite consignment store always had Loveybuns stocked as well as a stash of used CDs to pilfer through. Have fun shopping.

Wow!

Thank you all so much for your help. I live in Sunderland so my day today is already planned.

I can't believe that I have never even heard of Kid's Kloset...amazing

I am really looking forward to checking out all of these stores...I was just in West Hartford yesterday and I wish I had know about the Papaya Patch...we will have to take another ride down this weeekend.

Thank you thank you

I'm in Hadley, moving to Belchertown and have always lived in the Amherst area. Most of Wileys original stash I bought used at Kids Kloset in Noho, Second Chances in Northampton and Lots for Littles (which is now The Toy Box and doesn't carry used clothes anymore). I do love LoveyBums! Also if you are looking for new and variety try Monkey Business on college street behind spirit ****. She had lots of things last time I was there.

Also do you know about Changing Habits? They are a local diaper service. I don't have the phone number but you can google the website.

Hope this helps. More questions? Pm me.
