My 7 year old, that is - when she saw the CD order that just came in! She insists she's never seen cuter diapers in her LIFE and she immediately ran to get a doll to diaper.

ETA: Here's a pic!

She is EXCITED. It's sooooo cute! She keeps petting the kissaluvs and rubbing them against her cheek
Addicted already?

I really, really like the looks of the BumGenius, but I have a feeling I'm going to get oh-so-addicted to these yummy soft natural fibers. I discovered these one-size fitteds (after my order shipped, of course), and I'm keeping them in mind for when the time comes to size up/supplement/replace: Baby Beehinds (rave diaper pin reviews)

How stinkin' CUTE Bee!!! I would have LOVED for my mom to have had a baby when I was your dd's age! And, for mom to want to cloth diaper and everything, OH! I would've been in heaven!!! I know your girls are going to SPOIL THIS BABY ROTTEN!!! Lucky baby!!!

So do you love the BG's as much as you thought you would?!?!! I know I am so excited to use them, I can't wait for baby boy to get here and get to see how well they work... (and hopefully we can use them right off!!)

You'll have to let me know your experience when little man gets here...

Thank you, mamas! My big girls are all getting interested, but my youngest, Mir, is the MOST excited. She's one of those little girls born with a nurturing streak a mile wide. When she was a toddler - still a baby herself! - the little ones would just bring her to her knees. She love love loves babies.

It always made me a little sad that she was the youngest - all that baby love going to waste.

So this pregnancy is a dream come true for her. Her own little living doll. My middle DD - HM (10) is excited to meet Jake, but her apprehensions might outweigh anticipation. She is very worried that I might MAKE her change a diaper. She has zero interest in that. She is worried that his crying will keep her awake at night. She is worried that his noisiness will disrupt the household. And of course she's worried she'll get less attention when she'd already like to have it ALL to herself. It will be interesting to see how this dynamic develops. I just don't know what to expect. I know I will have to be proactive about balancing the attention. If only she wouldn't be so snotty when she's sad/confused. It makes it so much harder to be responsive to her needs when she's being a brat about it. Anyway, I hope she just falls in love with him and it's easy. Ha ha.

Mir OTOH wants to change ALL the diapers and do all the baby care she can. She IS going to spoil the boy rotten, Alayna! She is just overjoyed.

My eldest (11) is kind of more in between those two extremes.

I think the BG dipes are beautiful. I'm really impressed. I suspect they will work just fine with a newborn (assuming 8 lb range) - can't wait to test that theory!! I do have size 0 kissaluvs and newborn covers on hand if they don't, though.

Awwww - she's so cute with her cloth diapered baby. Those Baby Beehinds are really, really cute. I can NOT buy any more diapers. ((I am repeating this over and over again as I sneak away from MDC. LOL!!!))

I've got the bg bug myself.
I use 'em on my toddler, and we love them. I've also used them on the little one I babysit, I think he was about 14 lbs then or so, and they were a great fit on him as well. Rinsing the poop off can be a bit of a mess, but with bf poop that's not even necessary.
