Ok, so I have my cardboard cat-scratcher stuck to the wall with tacky putty, the kind you buy to hang light pictures or posters on the wall when you don't want to use nails or tacks. The kitties prefer to have the scratcher upright. Anyway, DD just pulled it down from the wall, grabbed the enticing-looking putty, and rubbed it onto her scalp. Yuck! I can't pull it out without taking her hair with it, and it's right up by the roots and she has medium-length hair, so if I cut it off it's going to look reaaaaally silly.

Any suggestions on how I can remove it?

Peanut oil might work, I read that peanut oil works best on hair.. or peanut butter.

Peanut butter works on gum...so maybe. Failing that try D-Solv-It, a citrus-based solution you can get at Wal-Mart. This stuff is sooo handy! And it's safe for hair, pets, etc. (in case she tries to putty the cat next! ) When I was a kid my mom used this D-Solv-It on tar that my sister had in her long, gorgeous blond hair. Came right out!

spray cooking cleaner or hand sanitizer both work on silly putty. I'd assume it's basically the same concept =D

Thanks, mamas. I guess I'll try greasing her up. For twenty-four hourse I've just been picking at it and hoping it wears off--not really working!
