Try folding down the excess in the back, instead of the front. So, fold down 3 inches (or whatever you usually fold down in the front) and put baby on the diaper. When he's lying on the diaper try doing the "twist" fold. Twist the diaper above his boy parts (that's the technical term we use in this house
) so that nothing falls out. So, for a girl the twist might be between her legs, but for a boy it should be a little higher. You might have to practice a few times before you get it good
Good luck!

folding down the back is a good idea thanks...what about it kind of sliding down his hips?and it it normal that the diaper is actually wrapped around his legs as well and not just his butt area? when i do the twist there is always one side where the leg part is falling out...one side is tight and the other is falling out..

I would fold it down in the back, lay baby on top, roll the sides in towards baby(hopefully baby will be holding still, otherwise it is tricky at first LOL), then pull up through legs and snappi snuggly. This will get it off his thighs, and gives me a much snugger fit.

I could never master the bikini twist with my boys, I always had parts hanging out.
