I've seen a show on DIY where they talk a lot about pine mulch, but I can't find it anywhere! I might have to special order it, but was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with an online resource?
i'm not sure where you live but here in the south, pine straw is WAY easy to come by. i just rake up the straw from underneath the nearby pine trees and my azaleas LOVE it. it is also sold by the bale at home depot, lowes and lawn and garden centers. it's an awesome mulch. cheap too.
I'm not sure if it's a regional thing, but you should have access to pine mulch; in the midwest it's available at any garden center.
If you do use pine needles, make certain the plants you use it with like acidity. I use mine to help keep my Nikko Blue hydrangea blue, but some plants just can't take it.
