placenta eating question...

ive been feeling kind of icky and run down and was wondering...
can you still eat your placenta if you had a lotus birth?
we had a partial lotus birth, we kept it on for a few days before hospital officials started freaking out on us. they brought in social workers and we gave in and let them cut it... dp came home and immediately put it in the freezer.
we used sea salt and lavendar on it.
i hope someone can help me here...i figured this was probably the best place to ask

there is a long thread in pp depression.

Personally, if you kept it frozen and it was not "smelly" which I am sure it was not since you salted it etc., yes, you can prepare it and eat it.
